Erica & Dallas | Keweenaw Peninsula Wedding

September 24, 2016

Erica & Dallas have a deep love for the Upper Peninsula, specifically the Keweenaw Peninsula.
After successfully hiding the engagement ring for 5 months in a pile of old tax papers, Dallas and Erica made a trip up here where he asked her to be his wife.
They took a walk on the McLain State Park beach and as the sunset over Lake Superior he got down on one knee.
Afterwards they made a fire and enjoyed some stew and hot dogs which she described as "not classy, but very memorable".

Keweenaw Mountain Lodge is always a favorite venue of mine up north!
They have the perfect rustic cabins for everyone to get ready in, an awesome view of Brockway Mountain, and a well lit reception with delicious food.

The girls started the day by going kayaking on Lake Superior before getting ready.
It was a very relaxed morning followed by a gorgeous outdoor ceremony at Hunter's Point Park.
Immediately after the ceremony a couple of ladies who were agate hunting gave the newly married couple a few of them for good luck.
Erica & Dallas decided not to have a bridal party so that all of their guests could just enjoy the day.
I did not disagree with this decision, it gave us time to get some awesome portraits of them in their favorite place together.

I will let the photos tell the rest of the story! Thank you Erica & Dallas for having me be a part of this spectacular day.
